Community Choice Aggregation Program

The City of San Diego, along with the cities of La Mesa, Encinitas, Chula Vista, and Imperial Beach, is moving forward to form a Community Choice Aggregation Program. A Board of Directors has been formed with representatives from each City. Roll out for the program would not begin until 2021 and could eventually serve up to 720,000 customers. Initial estimates plan for a 4 to 5 percent discount in the rates SDG&E is charging. The Board hopes to finalize their Plan by December 9.
